Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled QA/QC Coordinator to oversee quality assurance and quality control processes across construction projects. This role is essential in ensuring that all construction activities adhere to established standards, building codes, and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in construction quality management, inspection, and regulatory compliance, contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality infrastructure. As a QA/QC Coordinator, you will lead efforts to maintain rigorous quality standards, analyze technical drawings, and coordinate inspections to uphold project integrity and safety. Duties Develop, implement, and monitor quality control plans aligned with project specifications and construction regulations. Conduct comprehensive inspections and quality assessments on-site, focusing on structural systems, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing building codes. Interpret technical drawings, construction plans, and specifications to verify compliance with design intent and regulatory standards. Manage data collection processes related to quality inspections, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions. Ensure adherence to federal construction safety regulations and energy building codes throughout all project phases. Collaborate with construction management teams to address quality issues promptly and implement corrective measures. Review construction documents for accuracy and completeness; analyze building code requirements such as structural, mechanical, electrical, and energy codes. Lead team efforts in quality compliance management by providing guidance on construction regulatory standards. Utilize construction management software for tracking inspection results, documentation, and reporting progress. Conduct regular training sessions on quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory updates for project personnel. Support the review of contracts and construction specifications to ensure scope adherence and quality expectations are met. Qualifications Proven experience in construction site inspection, quality assurance, or quality control management within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction regulations including building codes (structural systems, mechanical building codes, electrical building codes), safety regulations, and energy standards. Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office suite for documentation and reporting purposes. Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, construction plans, and specifications accurately. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines. Excellent analysis skills for evaluating compliance issues and recommending solutions. Prior experience with construction regulatory compliance programs related to federal safety standards is highly desirable. Strong understanding of contracts related to quality control scope and responsibilities. Construction experience involving diverse project types enhances the ability to manage complex quality assurance tasks effectively.
