Job Description

Job Purpose Directs and provides guidance for all Quality functions within Modineer-Pulverman.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for managing all facets of internal and external Quality Systems. Lead all members of quality team to ensure effectiveness and promote development. Develop schedule of internal quality audits within department. Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, and test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports. Lead corrective action teams for root cause analysis and implementation and verification of actions. Conduct proactive trainings on issues or risks identified before an issue occurs. Oversee customer interactions regarding quality complaints, issues, and audits. Inspect incoming products, enforce quality expectations with suppliers, and conduct audits. Champion external audits as necessary to maintain all required certifications. Manage QMS System for thorough problem tracking, data analysis, and improvement identification. Maintain all quality records and documentation in accordance with the quality manual and specific customer requirements. Ensure successful new part launches on time with support from Program Management. Report Quality Metrics monthly to management team. Maintain calibration records for mechanical and electrical test equipment within the department. Effectively interact with employees across all levels of the organization. Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge : 5-7 years of progressive experience in a key leadership/management role in a manufacturing environment is required. Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive management experience is a plus. Ability to lead and influence others to achieve targets in a diverse work environment. In-depth knowledge of PPAP Process, APQP documentation, GD&T, MSA, SPC, SPK, CMM Measurement reading, Kaizen & Lean manufacturing Techniques Proficiency in ERP/MRP Systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Comfortable with spending at least half of your day out on the production floor. Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance production and quality needs. Must demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.
Physical environment/working conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be expected to go between and office and manufacturing environment daily. All applicable PPE is required while walking the manufacturing floor. Ability to lift at least 10 lbs. Other (e.g., customer contact or access to confidential information): Must be able to work as part of a team. Must maintain confidentiality when working on assignments.
