Excellent Career Growth Opportunities The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and continuously improving the Quality function and Quality Management System across Direct Wire's operations. This role oversees quality assurance, product conformity, certifications, and the development of the Quality team to support current and future growth. Reporting to the Director of Continuous Improvement and Quality, the ideal candidate is a strong leader and problem-solver with excellent analytical, process-control, coaching, and cross-functional communication skills. This position plays a key role in driving continuous improvement and fostering a strong culture of quality across the organization. Responsibilities Lead and continuously improve the Quality Management System while maintaining
ISO 9001
compliance. Develop and coach the Quality team through training, clear expectations, and workforce planning. Oversee quality processes, including Control Plans, inspections, SPC, MSA, Gage R&R, capability studies, and sampling plans. Manage nonconforming products, quality holds, containment, customer complaints, and corrective actions, including the authority to stop shipments when necessary. Lead customer and supplier quality activities, including audits, corrective actions, qualifications, and performance management. Support new product development, process validation, risk assessments, and engineering changes. Track and analyze quality metrics to identify trends, drive continuous improvement, and reduce the cost of poor quality. Maintain quality procedures, training, documentation, and QMS/ERP records, while managing relationships with certification bodies and industry organizations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered. 7+ years of quality, engineering, or technical manufacturing experience, with leadership experience. Strong leadership, coaching, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Knowledge of ISO 9001, Quality Management Systems, audits, and corrective actions. Ability to read technical drawings and interpret product, customer, and regulatory requirements. Ability to make sound quality decisions under pressure. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/QMS systems; Minitab experience preferred. B2B manufacturing, Lean/Six Sigma, ISO auditing, or ASQ certification experience preferred.
