As a Quality Control Manager at HHI Corporation, you'll take a leading role in delivering complex federal construction projects that support our nation's defense and infrastructure . You'll own the project's quality program, work alongside experienced project leaders and Government representatives, and help ensure every phase of construction is completed safely, correctly, and to the highest standards. This is a hands-on leadership position where your expertise, judgment, and attention to detail directly impact project success. You'll have the authority to identify issues, drive solutions, and stop work when necessary to protect quality and compliance.

Three-Phase Control Meetings:

Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up. Prepare and maintain required QC documentation, reports, logs, and Government submissions. Review and track submittals to ensure compliance before Government submission. Track deficiencies and corrective actions through completion. Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and third-party testing as required. Ensure compliance with

OSHA, EM

385-1-1, project safety plans, and contract requirements. Coordinate required quality and safety training. Lead mishap investigations and complete required reporting. Participate in project, pre-installation, preparatory, and Government coordination meetings. Support project closeout, including punch lists, as-builts, warranties, and O&M manuals. Work closely with Government representatives, inspectors, Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and Corporate Safety to maintain quality without delaying project progress. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 10+ years of construction experience, including at least 2 years as a Primary Quality Control Manager on federal projects. Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, VA, or similar federal projects. Experience completing a project valued at $8 million or more. Experience on projects exceeding 10,000 square feet. OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety training and working knowledge of

EM 385-1-1.

Experience with RMS/QCS and Government electronic reporting systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and approved submittals. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including Government correspondence. Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills. Experience with Bluebeam and Procore or similar construction management software. Ability to meet Government security clearance requirements. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform inspections in active construction environments. Preferred Qualifications Primary CQC Manager experience on multiple USACE projects. Familiarity with UFGS. Construction scheduling experience; Primavera P6 or OPC preferred. LEED or federal sustainability experience. Commissioning and systems testing experience. Experience with federal design-build and design-bid-build projects. Experience mentoring or supervising QC staff and inspectors. Experience supporting claims avoidance through thorough documentation and reporting.
