2991423350-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Smurfit WestRock, a global leader in sustainable paper-based packaging, is seeking an Inspector to ensure product quality and safety in our manufacturing operations. In this performance-driven, safety-focused environment, you will inspect packaging and materials at multiple production stages, using measurement tools and visual standards to verify compliance with customer and internal specifications. You'll document findings, report nonconformances, support root cause analysis, and partner closely with production to drive continuous improvement, reduce waste, and uphold our commitment to operational excellence and sustainability. This role offers exposure to innovative, large-scale manufacturing processes and opportunities for long-term career growth. Responsibilities Inspect paper-based packaging and materials at various production stages for defects and compliance to specifications. Use measurement tools (calipers, gauges, micrometers) to verify dimensions and tolerances. Document inspection results, maintain QA records, and prepare nonconformance reports. Communicate quality issues to production, maintenance, and engineering teams for correction. Support root cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce defects and waste. Verify compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards. Participate in safety walks and follow all plant safety and housekeeping procedures. Assist with audits, calibration checks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
