Position:
1 opening We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to support quality testing within a chemical manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing routine chemical and physical testing of incoming raw materials, semi-finished materials, and finished products to ensure they meet established specifications and standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in a manufacturing quality control laboratory and is comfortable working with chemicals, laboratory equipment, quality documentation, and established testing procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform standard chemical and physical QC testing on incoming raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products. Conduct testing according to established specifications, formulas, methods, and procedures. Calculate, document, and report test results accurately. Enter QC test data and maintain quality records in SAP and other applicable systems. Maintain retain samples and manage sample storage and disposal according to department procedures. Maintain laboratory equipment and perform required equipment calibrations. Review and update QC methods and help ensure testing procedures are accurate and properly documented. Participate in customer and regulatory audits. Support investigations of out-of-specification (OOS) results, including root-cause evaluation and corrective actions. Assist with customer complaint investigations in collaboration with R D and technical teams. Complete required QC records, documentation, and SOP-related activities. Follow all Safety, Health, and Environmental requirements and OSHA standards. Support 5S activities and other quality department projects as assigned. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control testing environment preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. Hands-on experience performing chemical and/or physical testing in a laboratory or manufacturing QC environment. Ability to accurately calculate, document, and interpret test results. Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. Ability to work independently with general supervision and contribute effectively as part of a team. Strong communication skills and a commitment to workplace safety. PC proficiency, including Microsoft Office; experience with SAP or quality databases is a plus. Experience with laboratory equipment calibration and QC documentation is preferred. Experience with OOS investigations, root-cause analysis, or corrective actions is a plus. Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime, extended shifts, or other shifts when needed. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work in a chemical laboratory handling chemicals, reagents, and finished products, including toluene. Ability to stand continuously and walk frequently during the shift. Ability to sit, use a computer, and type for extended periods. Ability to routinely climb and descend stairs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and frequently lift up to 25 lbs.
