Full Time Responsible for supporting the QA department through product control, verification procedures, organization, compliance and inspection of finished goods.

PRINCIPAL

ROLES and

RESPONSIBILITIES

Online quality checks (dates, lots, labels, nutritional information, weights). Slice count verification checks (average slices per lb.) Finished product quality checks. CCP Direct Observations and documentation Metal Detector calibrations & documentation. Operational GMP & Sanitation Observations throughout entire plant. Supervision of proper equipment cleaning and sanitizing by maintenance. Check bellies at Bacon Press for proper temperature and feel of belly Lead and document leaker checks Verifying timeliness and accuracy of production documentation Check labels and dates of product in coolers and macros. Return product checks/releases. Verifying correct sanitation chemicals are being used & check titrations. Printing cool down charts for process control sheets.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Ability to read, write, speak & understand English. Bilingual Spanish desired. One year of experience in QA/QC department in a manufacturing environment desired.

HACCP & SQF

training/certification desired. Ability to work under minimum supervision. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities effectively. Ability to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines in a timely & effective manner. Microsoft Office Experience required.
