DOE Job Description/Responsibilities:
Inspect, sample, and conduct routine and special laboratory testing on construction materials, primarily aggregates but may also assist in other products according to the appropriate standard test method. Will perform daily tests to ensure quality of products at the point of production, shipping, and when necessary, customer jobsites. Document and report testing results to ensure product is compliant with required specifications Individual will be expected to perform troubleshooting on field and jobsite problems. Visually inspect stockpiles, material sources, mining faces, and truck loads at plant site(s). Conduct testing and assist in plant calibrations to ensure proper quality of the product. Verify test results with outside testing laboratories and maintain accurate and timely records on test data, product quality, and defective materials. Will assist the scale house operator and loading crew as necessary to ensure the efficient flow of operations Assist management with screens, and aggregate processing equipment condition and parts inventories Perform other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications:
High School graduation or its equivalent is required. Previous material testing experience in aggregates is preferred. A valid driver's license is required. Must be capable of lifting samples up to 50 lbs. Climb ladders and platforms, and work outdoors in all season or inclement weather
