Job Description

Job description Motherlode Co-Packing is a growing food manufacturing facility in Hudson, Colorado that specializes in hot-fill bottling of numerous products, mostly cooking sauce, hot sauces and BBQ sauces but also a variety of other similar items. A successful candidate will have a positive attitude, a great work ethic, good attendance, and be willing to learn and perform a variety of tasks as well as have a high level of attention to detail. Flexible schedule is a must due to the nature of our facility. Our pay and progression system is designed to reward hard work, positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and advance so a successful candidate will be able to move up quickly.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Coordinate with the Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager on the production schedule and specific product related areas of additional attention Audit the production line to look for food safety and quality issues Perform pH testing, brix testing, and viscosity testing of the product at processing temperature. Micro analysis and shelf life study documentation and testing and data entry. Documenting and performing periodic quality checks throughout the production runs. Work with a supervisor that has proper sensory analysis training to achieve final approval to release for packaging Ensure all product specifications are being met and only the highest quality product is being produced. Addressing issues and stopping production should quality not be at the highest level.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Basic excel skills Working knowledge of sensory evaluation procedures (preferred) Must be assertive and highly detail oriented Able to operate simple chemical and analytical tools and laboratory equipment (refractometer, pH meter, and various measuring devices.) Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving & planning skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. Ability to work with and influence peers and management. Self-motivated with attention to deadlines and reporting.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Stand and move all day Frequently lift up to 25 pounds Repetitive motion Frequently using stairs, bending, reaching, pulling, kneeling, etc. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is to be worn at all times including company uniform, hair net, beard net if applicable and safety glasses which will be provided by the company.

Tuesday to Friday 4pm to 2:30am 10 hour shift
