Roofing Material & Logistics Driver Legrand's Roofing & Construction LLC Position Summary Legrand's Roofing & Construction is seeking a dependable, organized, and hardworking Material & Logistics Driver to support our roofing and construction operations. This position is responsible for transporting company trailers and materials between our warehouse, suppliers, job sites, and disposal facilities. The Material & Logistics Driver will also help prepare and organize materials for upcoming projects to ensure our crews have the correct materials and equipment needed to complete each job efficiently. Key Responsibilities Material Pickup & Delivery Operate a company vehicle to pick up and deliver roofing and construction materials. Pick up materials, tools, equipment, and supplies from local suppliers and stores as needed. Deliver materials to active job sites safely and on schedule. Pick up unused or excess materials from job sites and return them to the warehouse or appropriate supplier. Verify material orders when picking them up to ensure quantities and products are correct. Obtain and maintain receipts, delivery tickets, and other documentation for material purchases and pickups. Trailer & Dump Trailer Operations Safely tow company utility trailers, equipment trailers, and dump trailers. Deliver dump trailers to job sites before or during project setup. Pick up loaded dump trailers from job sites and transport debris to approved disposal facilities. Return empty dump trailers to the appropriate job site, warehouse, or designated location. Properly connect, disconnect, secure, and inspect trailers before transportation. Ensure loads are properly secured before operating the vehicle. Warehouse & Job Preparation Prepare and organize materials for upcoming roofing and construction projects. Review material lists and gather the necessary materials, tools, and supplies for each job. Stage materials so they are ready for delivery to the job site. Load and unload company vehicles and trailers. Keep roofing materials, tools, equipment, and supplies organized in the warehouse. Assist with receiving material deliveries at the warehouse. Maintain an organized inventory and notify management when commonly used materials or supplies are running low. Return unused materials from completed projects to their proper warehouse locations. Vehicle & Equipment Responsibilities Maintain company vehicles and trailers in clean and professional condition. Perform basic pre-trip inspections of company vehicles and trailers. Check tires, trailer connections, lights, safety chains, straps, and other equipment before transportation. Immediately report vehicle, trailer, or equipment damage or maintenance concerns. Keep company vehicles, trailers, and work areas clean and organized. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean and acceptable driving record. Experience safely towing trailers is strongly preferred. Must be comfortable driving a truck while pulling loaded utility and dump trailers. Ability to safely load, unload, lift, and move roofing and construction materials. Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Dependable and punctual. Ability to follow material lists and instructions accurately. Must communicate effectively with project managers, office staff, suppliers, and field crews. Roofing or construction experience is preferred but not required. What Success Looks Like in This Position The goal of this position is to keep our crews moving and our projects properly supplied. Materials should be prepared ahead of time, delivered to the correct job site when needed, dump trailers should be rotated efficiently, and our warehouse, vehicles, and trailers should remain organized and ready for the next project. The Material & Logistics Driver plays an important role in preventing project delays by making sure our field crews have the right materials, equipment, and supplies at the right place and at the right time.
