Quality Assurance Inspector Location:
Pompano Beach, FL Reports to:
Director, Quality Job Type:
Full-time Job Description Summary The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for certifying the airworthiness of all parts shipped to customers, ensuring the Quality team meets all ISO, OEM, and FAA requirements, ensuring supplier products meet all applicable requirements, and resolving hardware quality issues. This position also supports shipping operations through visual inspection of hardware on behalf of the FAA and the issuance of airworthiness certificates. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Certify parts using FAA Form 8130-3 to meet FAA requirements. Serve as a Designated Quality Representative (DQR) for various aerospace companies, approving aerospace parts for their quality systems. Ensure supplier products meet all applicable requirements. Resolve product quality problems. Process customer returns. Communicate with customers, OEMs, and the FAA. Manage the Quality Control Hold Area. Maintain a high level of knowledge of FAA documents, laws, and requirements. Perform internal quality audits to AS9100 standards. Support and comply with all
ATC/AERO
policies, programs, procedures, and applicable laws. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Demonstrated customer service, organizational, and communication skills. Extensive quality experience. High level of computer literacy. Qualified to inspect the airworthiness of hardware. Ability to understand engineering drawings and specifications. Highly skilled in defining processes and creating manuals, training guides, and work instructions. Meet and maintain requirements to be approved by the FAA as a Designee. Familiarity with AS9100 aerospace requirements. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and maintain positive working relationships. Ability to respond positively to instructions and established procedures. Education & Experience Experience in quality and aviation . Extensive experience with direct involvement with the FAA or military equivalent.
