Addison, Illinois Employment type: Direct hire Target salary: Up to $110,000 per year Work arrangement: Fully on-site A manufacturer of electrical distribution equipment is seeking a QA Electrical Inspector to inspect and test low-voltage panelboards and switchboards, and medium-voltage switchgear. Responsibilities Review electrical drawings and design specifications. Inspect electronic assembly components and control wiring, including point-to-point and wire-label accuracy. Perform functional and insulation tests, including Hi-Pot and Megger testing. Maintain and calibrate electrical test equipment; recommend equipment improvements. Troubleshoot defects, participate in root-cause problem solving, and implement prevention countermeasures. Follow and communicate electrical safety standards. Document inspection and test results. Qualifications At least five years of electrical inspection or testing experience; electrical distribution equipment experience is highly preferred. Knowledge of NFPA 70E and safe high-voltage testing practices. Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, wiring schematics, and point-to-point diagrams. Knowledge of wiring practices and workmanship standards. Familiarity with

UL 67, UL 891, UL 1558, IEEE

C37.20.2, and

IEEE C37.20.3

is preferred. Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
