Job Description

The QA Technician position is responsible for ensuring product is made according to customer and industry standards and requirements, in a safe and efficient manner to support the achievement of the company's business goals and objectives.
Duties:
Comply with all safety requirements, utilize the STOP program, and maintain clean/orderly work areas. Successfully complete all required trainings and attend/participate in required team meetings. Oversee quality inspection area daily with respect to equipment use and maintenance, housekeeping, supplies and organization. Execute final inspection of finished goods and in-process goods when required according to established standards and fully documenting inspection results. Prepare samples for investigation as directed. Quarantine all non-conforming material through physical tagging and document the non-conformance with the appropriate hold system(s). Accurately and completely fill out quality records and reports. Train production personnel regarding process testing when required. Utilize testing equipment as required. Prepare QA samples and perform rod cutbacks as required. Support metallurgical activities in the lab as directed.
Qualifications:
High School diploma/GED 1+ years of QA and/or manufacturing experience preferred. Working knowledge of computer receiving software (able to operate a windows based personal computer, Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook) a plus. Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with team members. Competent in problem solving, team building, planning, and decision making. Able to perform under deadlines Able to work a flexible schedule, at times.
