Position Summary Edmik is seeking a detail-oriented Inspection Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for inspecting precision-machined components throughout the manufacturing process and verifying that parts meet customer drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in accuracy, has strong attention to detail, and understands the importance of quality in a precision machining environment. Key Responsibilities Inspect machined components using precision measuring equipment Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections Use micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, pin gauges, and other inspection equipment Verify dimensions, tolerances, surface finishes, and other print requirements Document inspection results accurately and maintain required quality records Identify and communicate non-conforming parts or quality issues Work closely with machinists, setup technicians, programmers, and management to resolve quality issues Assist with troubleshooting dimensional and machining problems Maintain inspection equipment and ensure proper care and calibration Maintain a clean, organized, and controlled inspection area Follow company quality procedures and safety policies Qualifications 2+ years of experience in quality inspection or precision machining preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T Strong understanding of dimensional tolerances and inspection methods Proficient with precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and height gauges Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and make sound quality decisions Strong communication and problem-solving skills Basic computer skills and ability to accurately document inspection results Preferred Qualifications Experience in a CNC machine shop or precision manufacturing environment Experience inspecting tight-tolerance components Experience with CMM equipment Familiarity with JobBOSS or similar manufacturing software Knowledge of SPC and statistical quality practices Experience with first-article inspection reports Familiarity with surface finish requirements and inspection What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Health benefits Paid time off Opportunities for advancement and skill development Stable employment with a company that has been in business for over 60 years Clean, organized, team-oriented shop environment Veterans & Retirees Welcome We value the discipline, experience, and technical knowledge that veterans bring to the workplace.
