Temp-to-Hire We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to perform in-process and final inspections of custom wood crates, hardwood products, and packaging materials. This position is responsible for verifying measurements, inspecting workmanship, reviewing paperwork, and ensuring finished products meet customer specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, solid math skills, and experience using measuring tools in a manufacturing, production, or quality control environment. Responsibilities Inspect incoming lumber, plywood, hardwood products, and packaging materials for defects, damage, and quality concerns. Perform in-process and final inspections of wood crates and assembled products. Read and interpret blueprints, measurements, bills of materials, and customer specifications. Use tape measures, calipers, squares, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances. Inspect angled cuts, drilled holes, joints, staples, and screws to ensure proper assembly and structural integrity. Verify product appearance, including accurate labeling, straight and legible stenciling, and proper placement of labels. Conduct final dock audits and review inspection paperwork for accuracy and completeness. Document inspection results, identify defects, and tag or remove products that do not meet specifications. Complete quality reports using preset formulas and accurately record measurements and findings. Qualifications Previous experience in quality control, quality inspection, manufacturing Ability to read blueprints and understand product specifications. Experience using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring instruments. Strong mathematical and measurement skills, including converting fractions to decimals and vice versa. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to recognize defects, inconsistent measurements, and poor workmanship. Basic computer skills and the ability to complete inspection reports and paperwork accurately. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods. Interested in this opportunity?
