Updated 08/26/2026 Job Description Job Summary Quality Inspector - Aircraft Line Maintenance We are seeking experienced Quality Inspectors to support commercial aircraft maintenance operations at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). This position is responsible for ensuring aircraft maintenance and inspection activities are performed in compliance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong quality assurance background, Boeing aircraft experience, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance. • Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
• On-call availability may be required to support operational needs Key Responsibilities
• Perform in-process and final inspections of maintenance work performed on commercial aircraft
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company procedures
• Review maintenance records, work packages, logbook entries, and inspection documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Conduct return-to-service inspections and verify airworthiness of aircraft and components
• Inspect aircraft structures, systems, powerplants, and components for conformance to approved data
• Identify discrepancies and ensure corrective actions are properly completed and documented
• Interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, engineering orders, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and technical publications
• Collaborate with maintenance personnel, supervisors, and management to ensure quality standards are maintained
• Participate in internal audits, quality investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation in accordance with FAA and company requirements
• Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to all quality assurance procedures Qualifications
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required
• Minimum of 2+ years of Boeing Quality Control/Quality Inspection experience required OR 5+ years of commercial aircraft maintenance experience required
• Previous experience performing aircraft inspections in a commercial aviation environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, maintenance procedures, and airworthiness requirements
• Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Experience reviewing maintenance records and ensuring regulatory compliance
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and make sound airworthiness determinations
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Valid drivers license required
• Ability to pass airport security background checks and obtain required airport credentials Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, and climb ladders or maintenance stands for extended periods
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to access confined spaces and elevated work areas as required
• Ability to work around aircraft, moving equipment, and high-noise environments
• Sufficient visual acuity to inspect aircraft structures, components, and maintenance workmanship Preferred Qualifications
• Boeing aircraft quality inspection experience highly preferred
• Previous airline, MRO, or Part 145 Repair Station experience
• FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred but not required
• Experience with heavy maintenance, line maintenance, or modification programs
• Familiarity with electronic maintenance record systems and quality management systems
• Previous experience conducting return-to-service inspections and airworthiness releases
• Additional aircraft-specific training, manufacturer certifications, or specialized inspection certifications preferred
