Job Summary:
Performs product and process inspections throughout the manufacturing facility to ensure products meet established quality standards and specifications. This role conducts in-process and final inspections, documents defects and nonconformances, and works with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
Job Duties:
Inspect large, complex assemblies, sub-assemblies, and finished products for conformance to specificationsPerform in-process inspections and product audits throughout manufacturing and record defect dataIdentify, document, and process nonconforming materialsRead and interpret drawings, prints, work instructions, and other technical documentationUse measuring and test equipment to verify product dimensions and quality requirementsMaintain inspection records, quality documentation, and document change controlsSupport root cause analysis and problem-solving related to manufacturing quality issuesPerform weld inspections and support weld monitoring and sampling activitiesAssist with
PPAP/FAI
documentation, calibration activities, and development of work instructions and proceduresSupport customer, third party, and special project inspections as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalentPrevious quality inspection experience, preferably within a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of manufacturing processes such as welding, machining, assembly, and receiving inspectionAbility to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and assembly instructionsExperience using inspection and measurement equipment such as calipers and tape measuresExperience with APQP, PPAP, and/or FAI processesFamiliarity with gauge calibration and MSAStrong attention to detail, documentation, and problem-solving skills Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
