Job Description

Job Position Summary Performs detailed inspections and supports quality activities throughout manufacturing operations. This position utilizes precision measuring equipment and inspection techniques to ensure products meet all applicable requirements prior to acceptance and shipment. Quality Inspector II supports quality objectives, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance and on-time delivery within the aerospace and defense manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T Verify special process certifications Review manufacturing travelers, routers and work orders for compliance Assist with FAI activities as needed Participate in corrective action investigations as needed Help train/mentor Inspector I personnel Properly use most inspection tooling efficiently and effectively Verify product conformity to engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and customer requirements Ensure measurement equipment is in calibration prior to use Accurately record inspection results and maintain quality records Communicate concerns and issues in a timely and constructive manner Other duties as assigned Education /
Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years manufacturing inspection experience Measuring tool experience required Aerospace experience preferred Qualifications /
Skills:
Knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T Strong attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems Ability to follow directions and procedures Must possess active listening skills Must be able to effectively communicate; oral and written Understanding QMS quality requirements Physical Requirements /
Work Environment:
Onsite manufacturing environment Prolong periods of sitting likely Must be able to lift 30+ lbs as needed Use of PPE and adherence to shop safety standards required This is an FT position (40+ hours per week) We prefer the willingness to work OT when business needs dictate Join us in maintaining the highest standards of quality through rigorous inspection practices! Pay:
$15.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
