Job Description

Quality Technician Pay & Schedule $25.00 to $35.00 per hour 1st Shift Typical schedule: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM Must be flexible to work 10 to 12-hour days as needed Full-time Position Summary We are seeking a Quality Technician to support quality assurance and quality control activities within a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for quality inspections, laboratory testing, document control, process audits, gage calibration, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience working with quality systems, blueprints, metrology equipment, and manufacturing quality standards. Key Responsibilities Maintain and update quality documentation within assigned production areas Ensure consistency between PFMEA, Control Plans, and Work Instructions Perform quality inspections and collect production line samples Conduct laboratory testing and document results Support supplier notifications and corrective action activities Utilize quality tools to monitor and improve process stability, including: Master and boundary samples Capability studies Gage R&R studies Product audits Statistical process controls Support PPAP submissions for customer requirements, engineering changes, process changes, and insourcing projects Conduct internal process and product audits Support internal and external quality audits Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and share best practices Operate CMM equipment in accordance with established procedures Set up, maintain, and track calibrated gages using electronic calibration systems Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gage R&R studies Monitor calibration status and communicate calibration metrics to management Required Qualifications Experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment General knowledge of CMM operation Ability to read and interpret blueprints and quality documentation Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) Basic metrology and gage calibration experience Understanding of APQP and PPAP processes Strong computer skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Preferred Skills Experience with process and product audits Knowledge of statistical quality methods Experience with electronic calibration tracking systems Familiarity with automotive or precision machining manufacturing environments What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, quality-focused, and capable of working independently while supporting a team environment. This individual should be comfortable working with inspection equipment, maintaining documentation, performing audits, and supporting manufacturing operations to ensure products consistently meet customer and quality requirements.
