We are looking for a hands-on leader who brings strong leadership presence and clear direction to our operator training program. You will be responsible for teaching equipment setups, troubleshooting, and quality procedures. This role requires someone who takes pride in holding people to high standards and is comfortable correcting processes directly and immediately when they are not being done correctly. You will ensure new hires are brought up to speed correctly during a 6 to 12-month training period, preparing them to advance into vital roles across the business, such as Automation Technicians, Machine Builders, and Service Technicians.
Key Responsibilities Training & Mentorship:
Teach and train new and current operators on equipment on an ongoing basis; track progress over a 6-12 month period and sign off when they are ready to transition to other departments.
Quality Standards:
Set up quality procedures using established Work Instructions. Act as the final gatekeeper, ensuring nothing moves forward without a "green light."
Testing & Inspection:
Conduct and teach critical testing, including linearity, calibration, and repeatability tests, as well as first-piece and final inspections before products leave the building.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
Troubleshoot balancing equipment, identify root causes of technical issues, and maintain equipment to standard.
Documentation:
Collaborate with the team to accurately fill out Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and 8D problem-solving documents.
Accountability:
Correct operators on the spot to ensure procedures are strictly followed, holding individuals accountable for their actions and the final product.
What We Are Looking For Technical Experience:
Strong hands-on experience operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining balancing or industrial measurement equipment.
Strong Communicator:
A communicator who is comfortable enforcing standards and correcting errors immediately rather than just showing someone once.
Detail-Oriented:
A sharp eye for quality, precision, and adherence to strict engineering or quality protocols.
