Entry-level opening. If you can read a tape measure and follow a print, we will train you on the machines. Eagle Aluminum is hiring a Machine Operator to run the fabrication equipment that turns raw aluminum extrusion into the trim and finished parts our customers order. You will start on one machine and add more as you get comfortable.

Straight talk about the work:

when a job lands on the punch press or the CNC mill, you will run it for one to two weeks at a stretch. It is repetitive on purpose - that is how we hold tolerance and hit ship dates. If steady, focused, hands-on work suits you better than constant switching, you will do well here. The variety comes between jobs and from picking up the other machines. We are a small shop in Loretto. Your work is visible, your name is on it, and the person who trains you is the person you work next to. Summer Hours From Memorial Day through Labor Day we run summer hours. When the shop is on track for the week, most of the crew cuts out at 1:00 PM on Friday. A rotating crew stays on the normal schedule to keep things moving, and the rotation is shared - everyone takes a turn, and everyone gets summer Fridays. What You Need to Have Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16" Ability to read and follow basic fabrication prints and work orders Comfortable on your feet for a full shift, and able to lift up to 50 lbs Dependable attendance and on-time starts Focus and consistency on repetitive runs that last a week or more Willingness to learn new equipment and follow safety procedures 18 years or older (required by federal law for the press and punch equipment) Helpful, But Not Required Any prior manufacturing, machine shop, warehouse, or construction experience Time on saws, press brakes, punch presses, or CNC equipment Basic computer skills Forklift experience What You Will Be Doing Cutting aluminum extrusion to length on a Scotchman automatic upcut saw Punching extrusion on a press brake using punch tooling Running a punch press for holes, notches, and slots Loading, running, and unloading parts on a Haas CNC mill Manual fabrication and assembly - deburring, drilling, tapping, fitting, and packaging Measuring and checking your own parts against the print, first piece through last Keeping tooling, fixtures, and your work area clean and organized Following all safety and PPE requirements Training and Advancement New operators start on one machine with hands-on training from an experienced operator. As you prove out, we add equipment. Operators who learn multiple machines, run them well, and show up consistently move up within the pay range and into more responsibility.
