Summary:

Seeking a Materials Engineering Lab Technician to support a materials engineering and testing laboratory. This hands-on role involves metallurgical sample preparation, materials testing, validation, failure analysis, microscopy, environmental testing, data analysis, and technical report writing. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, and comfortable working in a laboratory environment.

Metallurgical sample preparation and evaluation Materials testing and validation Optical microscopy and digital imaging Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Technical report writing and data analysis Experience using hardness testing equipment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to work independently in a laboratory environment Nice to

Have:

Failure analysis and fractography experience Materials laboratory experience Accelerated environmental testing experience Coating performance and validation testing experience Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, and welding Experience handling chemicals and following laboratory safety procedures Lean manufacturing or process improvement experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance are available to qualified candidates who meet eligibility requirements.
