Job DescriptionAt XP Power's High Bridge, New Jersey facility, we design and manufacture high-voltage and high-power power conversion solutions that are used in critical applications across the semiconductor manufacturing, healthcare, and industrial technology sectors. Our products help customers safely and reliably convert and control electrical power in some of the world's most demanding equipment and systems. The Quality Control Inspector plays a vital role in ensuring that every component, assembly, and finished product meets XP Power's quality and reliability standards. By inspecting incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and completed products before shipment, this position helps prevent defects, supports customer satisfaction, and ensures that products perform safely and reliably in critical end-use applications. In this role, you will be inspecting:
Incoming materials (PC boards, sheet metal, etc.)PC board and harness assemblies (many different types)Final assemblies (assembled power supplies) Perform Final Inspection (after Test and Burn-in, before shipping)Inspect material orders on your daily assignment sheet, using BOMs and assembly drawingsEnter Reject information into computer, print rework traveler and return order to assembler and/or do Move transactions as required to move order to next departmentKeep QA Supervisor informed of Quality issuesWork hours are: Day
Shift:
7:00am to 3:30pm, Half-hour unpaid lunchQualificationsHigh school dimploma or equivalentExperience in electronics manufacturing, quality inspection, or a related technical fieldKnowledge of IPC workmanship standards, quality control methodologies, and good manufacturing practices preferredStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document findings, explain quality concerns, and collaborate effectively across departmentsDemonstrated emotional intelligence and professionalism when working with individuals at all levels of the organization and across a variety of work styles and personalitiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate information, identify potential quality issues, and make sound decisions independentlyAbility to interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, inspection criteria, and quality standardsHigh attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in inspection, documentation, and compliance activitiesSelf-motivated and accountable, with the ability to prioritize work, manage multiple assignments, and maintain productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentWillingness to actively engage in the quality process by identifying improvement opportunities and contributing ideas that enhance product quality, efficiency, and overall manufacturing performanceAbility to work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, Test, Materials, and Quality teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvementStrong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing or quality-related systemsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs regularlyAdditional InformationXP Power provides a safe and healthy working environment that is stimulating and collaborative, where employees are empowered to make a real difference.
