Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Quality Control Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will ensure that all products meet strict quality standards through meticulous inspection, measurement, and compliance checks. Your expertise will help uphold our reputation for quality and safety, supporting our mission to deliver premium produce to our customers. Duties Basic knowledge of Food Safety and Hygiene. English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking) desired. Intermediate Spanish speaking skills desired. Strong attention to detail. Intermediate computer skills, including the ability to enter and maintain accurate records. Ability to multitask, prioritize, organize, and solve problems. Ability to manage competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines. Ability to walk and stand for up to 8 hours per shift. Flexibility and willingness to work overtime and up to 6 days per week, according to production needs. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), food safety, and health and safety regulations. Willing to train the right person. Principle Responsibilities QC Tech reports directly to the Food Safety Manager and supports the implementation of food safety and quality programs Conduct pre-operational inspections of production/warehouse lines including Sanitation verification (ATP swabs). Inspect raw materials and ensure they adhere to quality standards Conduct periodic audits on good manufacturing practices (GMPs) Perform Lab sampling (biological swabbing, product sampling, and air and water testing). Conduct in-lab testing of products to ensure finished product specifications Place products on hold if they do not adhere to food safety or quality standards Assist during third-party audits and recalls; be available for questions and documentation Maintain records related to traceability (Raw materials, finished goods, packaging, etc.) & Ensure operations paperwork is correctly completed Ensure product labeling is correctly conducted and assist with new label creation for new items Create and maintain product specifications Calibrate and verify testing/weight/temperature equipment Work collaboratively with production staff to ensure product is manufactured according to standards Assist in customer complaint investigations Complete paperwork and other reporting tasks, including trend analysis, shift reports and non-conformance Perform quality control checks such as correct packaging and weight Perform temperature checks on coolers, water, and product Support production staff with questions about food quality and safety Support training sessions and conduct new employee training showing video training Follow and comply with all safety regulations Join us in maintaining our legacy of excellence!
