Job Description

Metrology Technician We are hiring a Metrology Technician to join our growing quality team. Job Responsibilities Perform dimensional inspections on parts and products using engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and control plans. Utilize precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and other inspection equipment. Conduct first-piece, in-process, incoming, and final inspections to verify product quality and compliance. Operate and support advanced metrology equipment, including Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), X-ray systems, spectrometers, and cleanliness testing equipment. Maintain gauge control processes, including organization, identification, handling, storage, and calibration tracking. Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T information, specifications, and inspection instructions. Record, analyze, and communicate inspection results while maintaining accurate quality documentation. Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials, components, or finished products. Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality concerns and support corrective action activities. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area while following all quality, safety, and environmental procedures. Job Qualifications High school diploma. Experience in manufacturing, quality inspection, metrology, or machining environments. Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments. Experience operating CMMs, spectrometers, X-ray inspection equipment, or other metrology systems. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Familiarity with calibration systems and gauge management. Automotive, metalworking, die casting, or industrial manufacturing experience.
