Non-Ferrous (NF) Scrap Inspector
Pay:
$26.00 per hour

Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a Non-Ferrous Scrap Inspector to inspect, identify, and grade incoming non-ferrous scrap materials. This position plays an important role in ensuring materials are properly classified, free of prohibited items, and meet company quality standards. Responsibilities Inspect and grade incoming non-ferrous scrap, including aluminum, copper, brass, stainless steel, and other metals. Identify different grades and types of non-ferrous materials. Check loads for contamination, prohibited materials, and incorrectly identified scrap. Communicate material grades and discrepancies to customers, drivers, and yard personnel. Assist with sorting and directing materials to the appropriate processing or storage areas. Maintain accurate inspection and material records. Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Qualifications Previous scrap metal or recycling industry experience preferred. Knowledge of non-ferrous metals and scrap grading strongly preferred. Ability to visually identify and differentiate various metals and grades. Strong attention to detail and communication skills. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
