Ecolab is seeking a Quality IoT Technician to join our team in Green Tree, PA . This role is responsible for performing a variety of inspection and tests on purchased, made in-house, sub-assembly and final products integral to Nalco's water monitoring and treatment equipment. The role will also assist as directed with nonconformance, calibration, documentation management and other elements of the ISO9001 certified Quality Management System. How You'll Make an
Impact:
  • Verify controller build quality by reviewing and validating completion of quality checklists.
  • Connect controllers to the cloud and download/apply required configurations.
  • Validate controller setup and performance using Ecolab's data platform.
  • Diagnose and resolve controller issues; coordinate with the Equipment Help Desk and Digital Help Desk as needed.
  • Identify and troubleshoot data ingestion and device connectivity issues and support resolution efforts.
  • Analyze and communicate recurring issues, trends, and findings to the Connected Devices team.
  • Apply appropriate labeling and identification to controllers in accordance with standards.
  • Upload, configure, debug, and troubleshoot programmable logic controller (PLC) programs and related control logic on equipment.
  • Support management of nonconformance, calibration, and documentation programs.
  • Interface with equipment engineers and fabricators, read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, and ensure schedule, quality, and safety standards are met.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in an equipment assembly or electrical-related assignment
  • 3 years of experience working on industrial equipment utilizing computerized (PLC) control systems to perform process operations
  • Experience performing work that relates to Ethernet, cellular, or industrial network connectivity fundamentals
  • No immigration sponsorship available for this role
Physical Requirements of Position:
  • Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in a shop environment with exposure to dust, noises, and odors.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience connecting industrial or IoT-enabled equipment to cloud-based systems
  • Experience validating device configurations and data using a digital platform or dashboard
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware-to-software or device-to-cloud integration issues
  • Proficiency using computer systems for configuration, diagnostics, and documentation
  • Experience wiring simple circuitry and performing point-to-point terminations
  • Experience using handheld electrical process calibration tools, such as multi-meter, signal generator, and amprobe
