Job Overview Southside Materials is seeking a highly motivated individual that will be trained to be a QC Technician, backup Scale operator, and may be trained to operate off road equipment in a Quarry environment. A good work ethic is a must. Pay will be based off experience. Responsibilities QC Technician Sample aggregate material to meet VDOT and NCDOT specifications. Will be backup person to QC Technician Basic Math Capable of lifting 75 pounds Attend aggregate sampling school for Virginia and North Carolina Work with State inspectors for sampling. Scale Operator Operate Truck scales, weighing trucks in and out. Will be backup person to Scale operator Excellent phone skills Strong communication and computer skills Balancing cash and credit card sales daily Filling out purchase orders and matching invoices Works well with corporate staff on the day to day paperwork Off Road Equipment Operator Will work under a supervisor and tasked trained to operator equipment Perform a variety of tasks involved with extraction, crushing, and conveying of aggregate stone products. Experience Previous experience in a Mining environment is a plus Proficiency in basic math skills for accurate weight calculations. Proficiency in basic computer skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for this role.

Pay:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 48.0 per week
