7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Quality Assistant to support day-to-day quality operations within a manufacturing and metal service center environment in Walworth, WI. This is more than a traditional Quality Assistant position. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in quality and a strong desire to grow into a Quality Management role within 5-7 years. This position offers direct mentorship and exposure to quality systems, ISO 9001:2015, continuous improvement, customer quality requirements, employee training, and operational leadership. The successful candidate will work closely with production, supervisors, sales, and leadership to maintain product quality, resolve customer concerns, identify root causes, and improve processes. The individual will serve as an important communication bridge between Spanish-speaking production employees and the English-speaking office and leadership teams. Bilingual Quality Assistant Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Create quality alerts related to customer complaints and review them with production operators
Conduct inspection audits, particularly for products that have been returned or rejected by customers
Assist with Customer Feedback Forms and customer credit processes
Examine returned materials for defects and coordinate material reassignment with the appropriate departments
Collaborate with Shop Supervisors to review questionable or nonconforming material on the production floor
Monitor special orders identified by Sales or Quality for additional oversight
Investigate questions related to incomplete, inaccurate, or incorrect order processing
Assist with CAR/NCR processes, corrective actions, and follow-up activities
Participate in root cause analysis and develop solutions to prevent recurring quality issues
Support employee training related to quality and operational procedures
Complete and post monthly KPI reports
Interpret and review customer technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and data sheets
Maintain accurate quality documentation and records
Communicate effectively with production employees, supervisors, office personnel, and leadership
Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality system development
Perform administrative and clerical duties related to quality operations
Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned
Bilingual Quality Assistant Requirements:
Previous experience in a quality-related position such as Quality Technician, Quality Assistant, Junior Quality Engineer, or similar
Fluent Spanish and English communication skills are required
Strong desire to learn and advance within the quality field
Interest in developing knowledge of
ISO 9001
2015 and quality management systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
Growth-oriented mindset with a willingness to accept coaching and mentorship
Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of an organization
Patience and confidence when training and working with shop floor personnel
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and data sheets
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team
Professional demeanor with a customer-focused approach
Full-time, on-site position in an office, manufacturing, and warehouse environment
Regular movement throughout the production floor
Frequent interaction with employees and leadership across multiple departments
Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while following all required safety procedures
