Sewing Machine Operator Malden, MA Apply Furniture Concepts is seeking an experienced Upholstery Stitcher with strong sewing and cutting skills to produce high-quality upholstery covers for commercial and custom furniture. Candidates must be comfortable using industrial sewing machines and working from patterns, measurements, drawings, and existing furniture components. Responsibilities

• Cut upholstery fabric using patterns, templates, measurements, and specifications.
• Lay out patterns efficiently to maximize fabric use and minimize waste.
• Sew and assemble covers for chairs, sofas, banquettes, cushions, pillows, and other custom furniture.
• Operate industrial sewing machines and related equipment.
• Sew straight seams, curves, corners, boxing, welting/piping, and zippers.
• Match stripes, plaids, and other fabric patterns as needed.
• Work with upholstery fabric, vinyl, leather, and other textiles.
• Inspect finished covers for fit, measurements, stitching quality, and appearance; make adjustments or repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with upholsterers and production staff to ensure proper fit.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and meet production schedules and quality standards. Qualifications
• Minimum of five years of relevant upholstery sewing experience.
• Strong fabric cutting, sewing, and industrial sewing machine skills.
• Ability to work accurately from patterns, measurements, and drawings.
