About Us Paradise Finishing Company provides the finishing work for Peterson Cabinet Works, a custom cabinetry and closet manufacturer serving high-end residential projects throughout Southern Nevada. We finish every cabinet, door, drawer front, and closet component that leaves our shop, and the quality of our finish is the first thing our clients see and touch. Our finishing department runs a Makor Q-ONE automated flat line finishing machine and a Schubox finishing system, using waterborne finishing products. We are looking for a skilled finisher who takes pride in flawless, consistent work. What You Will Do Prepare cabinet boxes, doors, drawer fronts, and panels for finish, including sanding, filling, and surface prep Set up, load, operate, and monitor the Makor Q-ONE flat line finishing machine for doors, drawer fronts, and panels Operate the Schubox finishing system and keep it running to production standards Apply waterborne stains, primers, sealers, topcoats, and paints, including hand spraying of boxes and parts that do not run on the flat line Mix and tint waterborne finishes and match colors to approved samples and client specifications Scuff-sand between coats and inspect each piece for runs, orange peel, dust nibs, blush, and color consistency Repair and touch up damaged or defective finishes, including in-shop rework Perform daily cleaning and routine maintenance on the Makor line, Schubox system, spray guns, and filters Follow production schedules and coordinate with the shop to keep projects on time Follow all safety, PPE, and material handling and disposal procedures What We Are Looking For 2+ years of spray finishing experience in cabinetry, millwork, or furniture Hands-on experience with waterborne finishing products, including how they spray, flash, and cure Comfortable learning and operating automated finishing equipment Experience with stain and paint-grade finishes and color matching A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to consistent, high-end quality Ability to read work orders and finish schedules Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Able to wear a respirator and required PPE (fit testing provided) Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Nice to Have Experience running a Makor or other automated flat line finishing system Experience with Schubox equipment Experience with specialty finishes such as glazing, distressing, or high-gloss Experience with on-site touch-up for installed cabinetry Bilingual (English/Spanish) What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Steady, year-round work with a growing local company Modern, automated finishing equipment and a clean, organized shop Health Insurance, Paid time off How to Apply Send your resume and, if available.
