Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM-4:00 PM We are seeking an experienced sewing machine operator to sew cotton fabrics and produce yoga equipment, including yoga mats, straps, and bolsters. The ideal candidate is comfortable with repetitive sewing and production tasks and can maintain consistent stitching and product quality. Job Duties and Responsibilities Set up, thread, and operate sewing machines to complete assigned production work. Select and install needles, thread, and bobbins based on the material and job instructions. Adjust stitch length, thread tension, and machine settings to produce even, secure stitching. Guide cotton fabric through the machine while maintaining proper alignment, seam allowances, and stitch placement. Sew straight seams, curves, hems, and other finishes according to product specifications. Secure seams with backstitching or other approved methods to prevent unraveling. Monitor machine performance and stop work when equipment issues could affect safety or product quality. Previous hands-on experience operating a sewing machine is required. Ability to thread machines, wind and install bobbins, change needles, and make basic stitch adjustments. Ability to sew consistent seams and maintain accurate seam allowances. Understanding thread tension, stitch length, and needle selection and their effect on finished quality. Ability to identify thread breakage, skipped stitches, puckering, and uneven tension. Ability to make basic corrections within training and recognize when a supervisor or maintenance technician is needed. Ability to follow written instructions, measurements, and sample products. Ability to use measuring tapes, rulers, scissors, seam rippers, and related sewing tools accurately. Requirements Must be able to sit, stand, walk, claim, bend and kneel Must be able to lift and move materials weighing up to 20 pounds. Must be able to read, write and speak English Must be able to read a tape measure (For Fabric) Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
