Job Description
Schedule:
Will work on a rotating shift.Purpose:
Performs the operation of controlling heat treatment process and furnace adjustments in complex facilities, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures, complying with defined quality standards.Main Activities:
- Turns on and off the furnace.
- Executes change over and set up of the machine.
- Controls and adjusts furnace temperature.
- Controls combustion and regulates burners.
- Eliminates waste on furnace refractory.
- Carries out equipment inspection such as checks seals, instruments or furnace structure.
- Performs furnace auxiliary operations such as mandrel heat treatment.
- Controls control loops such as air-gas relation, furnace pressure or exchanger temperature.
- Performs driver's pre sets.
- Reads production and sequencing programs and defines the cycle changing time.
- Monitors operative and technologic alarms and performs process adjustments.
- Interprets specifications.
- Takes decisions regarding quality issues.
- Coordinates activities with other functions.
- Updates information in the tracking systems.
- Assists machine lock outs and tag outs and does operative maintenance (refrigerating fluid, machine adjustments, etc.
