3009160233-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Lockheed Martin Corporation seeks a Tool Maker Worker to build, repair and maintain precision tools, dies, jigs and fixtures that support advanced aerospace and defense manufacturing. In this on-site role, you will interpret complex blueprints and CAD data, set up and operate manual and CNC machines, and verify accuracy using precision measurement tools. You will collaborate closely with engineers and production teams to resolve tooling issues, enhance manufacturability and support continuous improvement. Responsibilities Fabricate, assemble and repair precision tools, dies, jigs, fixtures and gauges for aerospace manufacturing Interpret complex blueprints, CAD drawings and engineering specifications to build tooling Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools, grinders and related equipment Inspect and verify tooling accuracy using precision measurement instruments Collaborate with engineers, machinists and production teams to resolve tooling issues Perform preventative maintenance and upgrades on existing tooling and fixtures Maintain documentation, records and compliance with quality and safety standards Support continuous improvement, root-cause analysis and process optimization for tooling Required Skills Tool and die making CNC machining and programming Manual machining (lathe, mill, grinder) Blueprint and CAD drawing interpretation Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) Precision measurement and inspection Fixture and jig design fundamentals Material properties and heat treatment basics Shop math and trigonometry Root cause and continuous improvement methods
