$38.00/hr Are you passionate about machining, precision manufacturing, and hands-on problem solving? As a Machine Specialist I at Arthrex, you'll play a key role in producing and repairing innovative medical devices that help surgeons improve patient outcomes worldwide. From CNC machining and laser processing to fixture development and quality inspections, you'll work with advanced technology in a collaborative, regulated manufacturing environment while contributing to products that truly make a difference.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Operates CNC machinery using validated programs and setup sheets; performs setups, offsets, probing, and tool changes.

Performs laser marking according to approved drawings and validated specifications Observes all applicable safety procedures, including laser safety, PPE, lockout/tagout, and blood‑borne pathogen protocols.

Prepares and stages components, fixtures, tooling, and materials (cleaning, deburring, basic fixturing).

Performs manual machining operations, including drilling, facing, and tapping.

Performs laser welding and leak testing per validated processes when applicable.

Performs bead blasting per standard and maintains equipment.

Maintains 5S, cleanliness, workstation compliance, and area clearance requirements to ensure audit readiness.

Monitors tool wear, adjusts offsets, and ensures machining stability.

Conducts first‑article and in‑process inspections; uses precision metrology tools.

Captures machining data, tooling usage, and traceability in SAP; ensures material identification and bin accuracy.

Performs preventative maintenance and daily care on machining equipment; troubleshoots machining issues.

Supports ECOs, NCR investigations, CAPA tasks, and documentation requests.

Coordinates machining priorities with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing; communicates status, risks, and recovery plans.

Participates in continuous improvement and Kaizen events.

Provides training and mentorship to lower‑level specialists as appropriate.

Collaborates with vendors and internal stakeholders on tooling, fixtures, and equipment needs.

Basic machining awareness; Microsoft Office required; SAP/ERP literacy preferred.

Ability to document machining data.

Education/ Experience:

HS diploma; 1+ yr machining/manufacturing preferred; experience in a regulated environment preferred.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to apply mathematical principles related to machining dimensions, tolerances, and measurement systems.

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with arms, communicate clearly, and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs. Machine, Tools, and/or

Equipment Skills:

Proficiency with CNC machines, manual mills/lathes, laser systems, metrology tools, CAD/CAM, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
