Job Description We are a 108 year pump manufacturing company searching for a dynamic, detailed, orientated, hardworking individual with a solid work ethic that enjoys a challenge. This position is currently working a 40+ hour workweek. A.R. Wilfley has proudly produced heavy-duty pumps meeting challenging customer requirements for over 100 years and will continue to do so for the next 100 years. Primary Responsibility:
This position requires the ability to efficiently setup, inspect and run parts on a horizontal or Vertical lathe. It will require minor program editing on the machine, primarily tool numbers, speed, and feeds. This position is not high-volume production; typical batch sizes are 2 - 10 parts. Setup machine. Adjustment of cutting parameters. Tooling selection. Use of measuring tools, OD & ID mics, calipers, Interpret engineered drawings GD&T Quality of machined parts. Use of overhead and jib cranes to lift fixturing and parts. Maintaining/updating the current setup documentation. Maintaining a clean and organized work area. Preferred Qualifications Machining; stainless steels, hi-chrome, nickel, hard iron alloys. Fanuc/Okuma OSP Able to carry out written, oral, diagram, or picture form instructions. Some skills using computer programs such as Microsoft Office. Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Physical Demands Ability to be on feet up to 8-10 hours per shift Use of hands and fingers to perform job function Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and climb Ability to work in sometimes a non-climate-controlled environment Regularly lifts/moves up to 50 pounds Work Environment The work environment is your typical manufacturing facility that includes Noise, Air-Borne particles, Machining, Paint, Plastics, and Welding operations. PPE training and equipment are provided by the company.
