Job Description

Current Overtime Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 2pm-12am / 4pm-4am depending on overtime needs
Responsibilities Responsibilities:
Maintains an accurate record of all completed work in shop floor data system and/or manual forms as required. Complies with
ISO 9001
2000 certification for all areas of responsibility. Ensures completed product is staged in the next work area with appropriate identification information attached. Keeps materials, supplies, product carts, and any other supplies needed to be stocked in the department and notifies Printing Manager (or designated personnel) of any inventory order needs. Maintains acceptable productivity, quality, service, spoilage, security, and safety goals. Maintains a clean and safe work area. Follows all company procedures and rules. Follows all mandated security procedures and processes required by industry certifications. Conducts self in a respectful and professional manner with a focus on teamwork, quality, and timeliness at all times.
Screen Maker Level I:
Ensures correct mesh is called out for the ink type listed in the Job. Makes stencils according to provided art and Job Ticket documentation. Completes Scheduling Transactions in ERP shop floor system to relieve schedule. Identifies stencils with appropriate documentation. Issues stencils to the shop floor. Screen Maker Level II (Completes all Materials Allocator Level I responsibilities plus): Performs incoming inspection of raw materials. Performs inventory audit and orders materials through Purchasing when applicable. Screen Maker Level III (Completes all Materials Allocator Level II responsibilities plus): Serves as backup for a press helper or operator on the offset or screen presses. Engages vendors as necessary for inventory, quality, and R D purposes.
Qualifications Qualifications:
High school education or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a high volume production environment as a machine operator or press operator Solid detail and decision making skills in order to check product quality and make adjustments to meet customer deadlines and requirements. Solid mechanical aptitude with the ability to select and use appropriate equipment, supplies, and tools. Solid math skills to be able to compute percentages, weights, and measures. Ability to follow/interpret complex English written and oral instructions and specifications. Elementary English proficiency communication skills necessary Must be security and safety oriented. Must be reliable through good attendance, punctuality, and cooperation.
Physical Demands:
Work is conducted in a standing position and requires walking, bending, stooping, pulling, climbing and lifting of materials up to 50 lbs. Environment is noisy and may require ear protection. Work involves good eyesight, hand/eye coordination and excellent color vision to be able to ensure a quality product and maintain safety. Work involves full use of hands/fingers in order to use precision or semi-precision equipment, tools or instruments requiring deft hand movements. Work involves dealing with fine detail, which can be tiring both mentally and physically. Works with rapidly moving machinery that may require quick adjustments to minimize waste. Work is conducted in shifts and may require overtime on other shifts to meet deadlines.
