3009161854-2 Apply for this job now Job Description MW Industries seeks a Tool Maker II to build, repair, and maintain precision tooling for springs, fasteners, and metal components used in medical, aerospace, automotive, and industrial applications. In this engineering-driven, quality-focused environment, you will interpret blueprints, set up and operate manual and CNC machines, perform close-tolerance fitting and assembly, and troubleshoot tooling issues on the production floor. Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve tool performance, support continuous improvement, and uphold strict safety, quality, and documentation standards while growing your technical skills. Responsibilities Build, repair, and maintain precision tooling, dies, and fixtures Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications Set up and operate manual and CNC machining equipment Perform close-tolerance fitting, assembly, and adjustments of tools Troubleshoot tooling issues impacting production quality or uptime Collaborate with engineering and production to improve tool designs and performance Perform preventive maintenance and documentation on tooling assets Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures Measure and inspect tooling using precision instruments Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives in tooling Required Skills Tool and die making Manual machining (lathe, mill, grinder) CNC machine setup and operation Blueprint reading and interpretation GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Precision measurement (micrometers, calipers, indicators) Tool repair, fitting, and assembly Heat treatment and material properties basics Troubleshooting tooling and production issues CAD/CAM familiarity
