Akkodis is seeking an Sr Engineering Technician for a Contract with a client in Golden Valley, MN. The ideal candidate has must have proven experience operating and programming manual and CNC mills and lathes, with the ability to read blueprints and perform precision inspections using measuring instruments.

Rate Range:

$40/Hour to $45/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Sr Engineering Technician Job Responsibilities include: Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and other machine shop equipment to manufacture precision components. Independently program, set up, and run CNC machines, including tooling selection, toolpath creation, and process validation. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, sketches, and specifications to produce parts accurately. Inspect machined parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with quality standards. Troubleshoot machine processes and adjust speeds, feeds, tooling, and workholding to optimize quality and efficiency. Design, modify, and maintain fixtures and machining setups required for prototype and development components.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent technical/vocational training in Machining, Manufacturing, or a related field. 4-6 years of hands-on experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing or machine shop environment. Strong proficiency in manual and CNC machining, including setup, programming, tooling selection, and operation of lathes and mills. Pay Details:
