Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Plasma Table Operator and General Laborer, where you'll play a vital role in metal fabrication and precision cutting processes. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with advanced machinery, contribute to high-quality production, and develop valuable skills in manufacturing operations. Responsibilities Operate plasma cutting tables with precision, ensuring accurate cuts according to technical drawings and blueprints. Set up and calibrate CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines including laser cutters, milling machines, lathes, and press brakes for various fabrication tasks. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications for metal fabrication projects. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to inspect parts for quality and adherence to specifications. Assist with material handling using forklifts and cranes, ensuring safe movement of sheet metal and fabricated components within the shop. Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools to maintain optimal operation and safety standards. Follow safety protocols diligently during all operations, including machine setup, operation, and material handling. Experience Prior experience operating CNC machinery such as plasma tables, laser cutters, CNC mills or lathes is a plus. Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques including forming machines, stamping presses, welding, and sheet metal working. Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, blueprint reading, and shop math for precise machining tasks. Mechanical knowledge related to machine operation, tooling setup, and safety standards in manufacturing environments. Ability to work with hand tools, measurement instruments like micrometers and calipers, and perform quality inspections accurately. Experience with safety protocol adherence in a manufacturing setting is essential for maintaining a safe work environment. Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
