Our prominent manufacturing facility, situated northeast of Columbia, MO, is currently searching for a talented CNC Specialist to bolster our machining operations. You will be instrumental in programming, configuring, troubleshooting, and enhancing our CNC machinery. By focusing on optimizing machine output and minimizing downtime, you will contribute significantly to the success of our production department. Over five years of hands-on experience in CNC machining, machine setup, and programming At least five years of experience dedicated to the preventative maintenance of CNC manufacturing hardware We also require the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T, proficiency in selecting tooling and calculating optimal speeds and feeds, experience with precision measurement tools, and advanced troubleshooting capabilities. Core Responsibilities Execute preventative maintenance tasks on CNC machining and assembly hardware to ensure operational continuity Manage maintenance work orders while keeping precise records within our CMMS system Assess equipment status to provide clear updates on repair needs and production readiness Configure CNC machinery for production runs by preparing necessary tooling, fixtures, and parameters Create and refine CNC programs to support both ongoing production and the introduction of new parts Analyze blueprints, CAD models, and technical drawings to guide production efforts Improve overall machining efficiency by selecting appropriate tooling and setting optimal speeds and feeds Verify component quality using precision measurement instruments and perform necessary machine adjustments to maintain standards Organize and secure all machining records, program backups, and tooling documentation Track tool longevity to help decrease scrap rates and lower overall tooling expenses Oversee the maintenance of tooling databases, inventory levels, and standardized machining protocols
