About the Role As a Metal Stamping Technician, you will play a critical role in optimizing our production floor by managing complex press setups and ensuring high-precision output. You will leverage your technical expertise in tooling and machine operation to drive efficiency, maintain quality standards, and mentor team members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Configure and operate stamping presses, including progressive and single-hit dies, to achieve precise part forming and shaping. Manage material handling processes using cranes and hoists to ensure seamless production flow. Interpret complex blueprints to verify part specifications and ensure consistent quality throughout the production run. Proactively troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability. Develop and implement scrap chute arrangements to optimize material usage and reduce waste. Mentor and train junior operators on machine safety, setup procedures, and operational best practices. Conduct rigorous quality inspections to identify defects, determine root causes, and execute effective containment strategies. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience in setting up and operating industrial stamping presses and associated tooling. Advanced proficiency in blueprint reading and precision part inspection techniques. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve equipment performance issues. Experience with welding processes, including MIG, TIG, or Laser welding. Familiarity with operating heavy machinery such as press brakes and roll forming equipment. Preferred Skills Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on team development and process improvement. Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively across production shifts. Deep understanding of machine safety protocols and preventative maintenance schedules.
