This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills who works independently while supporting the tooling department.
SHIFT:
Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Manufacture puller cleats Assist Tool Design Department with mold creation Build repair and maintain air and water jigs Minor repairs using mill and lathe Perform minor repairs using hand tools, drill press, bench grinder and belt sander Maintain inventory levels of puller cleats and plastisol and related tooling supplies Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area (5S) Communicate effectively with Tool Room supervision, to prioritize work Assist with other tooling department tasks as assigned Qualifications Extrusion working knowledge and experience preferred Experience using hand tools and basic shop equipment Basic machining experience or working knowledge of drill press, bench grinding, milling & lathe Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Forklift and golf carts experience preferred Ability to follow work instructions and read simple drawings. Strong organization skills and ability to maintain inventory levels Self- motivated and ability to work independently Good verbal communication skills Must have excellent safety record Must be a reliable employee with excellent attendance record Vocational or Technical education preferred
