Rehab Innovation Engineering Internship - Summer 2027 Hot Job Bethany Children's Health Center - Bethany, OK 73008 Apply Overview Level Entry Position Type Internship Education Level High School Diploma Apply Job Description Job Purpose The Rehab Innovation Engineering Intern supports the hospital's Rehab Innovation & Professional Development team. This entry-level role is designed to provide individuals with educational exposure to Engineering focused work at Bethany Children's Health Center and supports the design and fabrication of custom assistive devices. Mission Statement Because we believe life is sacred, an inherent gift from a loving Creator, and that all children are of equal worth, we dedicate ourselves to maximizing the potential of every child by providing excellent pediatric medical and rehabilitative services in a compassionate environment consistent with the Christian principles on which we were founded. Work Schedule Monday - Friday, 8:00a - 4:30p, unless otherwise agreed upon by their supervisor. This position is a paid onsite internship and is not eligible for remote work. The internship program begins the first full week of June and concludes at the end of the summer. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Design custom assistive devices in CAD (Fusion 360)
  • Fabricate parts using CNC routing, 3D printing, and other shop equipment
  • Prototype and iterate rapidly based on user/clinical feedback
  • Assist with robotics and mechanism design for adaptive devices
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to translate needs into functional device requirements
  • Document project progress and outcomes
Qualifications Education:
Must be entering their Junior or Senior Year in Fall 2027 and be currently enrolled in a degree program in
Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering Experience:
CAD proficiency required; CNC or 3D printing experience preferred
