Job Description

Responsibilities:
Issues tools and equipment to all departments and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned in accordance with SOP #6500003 Tooling Set-up Process and #6500004 Tooling Return Process. Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment. Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment. Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory. Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear and reports damage to wear to supervisor. Updates job books by measuring and comparing job prints to running tools. Fills out ECR (Engineering Change Request) form when needed and returns to supervisor. Repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment. Marks and identifies tools and equipment. Keeps tool crib area clean, floor swept, cabinets free from oil and grease, and tool carts clean. Systematize tooling and cabinets for faster set-up time. Working with other team members to help solve their tooling needs.
TOOLS REQUIRED
Calipers Micrometer 6" scale wrenches
Skills:
Mathematical:
Ability to calculate figures proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer:
Ability to input data into database programs and evaluate output. Ability to grind and sharpen tooling. Ability to read engineering prints. Ability to perform clerical functions related to in-process forms and data entry requirements. Experience 1-3 years in a manufacturing environment
Education:
High School or G.E.D.
