Job Description

ARC, located in Greer SC, is an FAA-Certified Repair Station specializing in electrical and mechanical accessories for gas turbine engines, airframes and landing gear components. Action Research Corporation (ARC), a division of HEICO Corporation, is currently looking for a full time first shift Shop Technician to support our growing customer demand. Punctual and regular attendance is a requirement of this job. The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the job duties listed below. This is an entry level position.

Job Duties:

Conduct repairs on aerospace components and assemblies

Disassemble and rebuild aerospace components and assemblies using light hand tools

Test assemblies using electronic and mechanical test equipment

Dimensional inspection of aerospace style components using various measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gage, gage pins, optical comparator, CMM, etc.) against blueprints

Process parts according to company quality system documentation

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience working in a production/manufacturing shop environment is preferred

Required Skills:

Strong critical thinking skills - Must be able to understand and troubleshoot technical processes

Must be familiar with and comfortable operating electrical and mechanical test equipment

Strong communication skills (verbal and written) - Must be able to read, write and speak English

Good interpersonal skills including the ability to function as a strong member of a team

20/40 vision (corrected)

Organizational skills, team player, problem solving and dependable

Timely completion of repairs while focusing 100% on quality and details

Other:

Must be able to pick up and carry up to 25 pounds

Overtime may be required based on shop workload

Punctual and regular attendance is a requirement

Must comply with DOT drug and alcohol policy

This is an entry level position
