COMPRESSION SPECIALIST

We specialize in compression/lymphedema care, wound care, post-mastectomy care, hair loss solutions, and maternity products. We don't simply fit compression garments, provide medical products, and file insurance claims — we care for our patients with excellence, compassion, and heart. Summary Women's Health Boutique is seeking a compassionate Compression Specialist who genuinely enjoys helping people. We are looking for someone who understands that every prescription represents a person hoping to manage lymphedema, heal wounds, prevent complications, reduce pain, walk farther, or simply enjoy life again. We can teach compression fitting. We cannot teach kindness, empathy, integrity, or a genuine desire to serve others. Responsibilities Assist patients with fitting and selecting compression devices to ensure proper fit and comfort. Conduct intake assessments and gather relevant patient information. Apply medical knowledge to ensure correct fitting procedures in accordance with healthcare standards. Educate patients on the use and maintenance of compression products. Collaborate with healthcare providers to interpret prescriptions and medical requirements. Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and fittings. Follow aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients. Stay updated on new products and techniques related to compression therapy. Qualifications Knowledge of ICD coding, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Background in insurance knowledge not required but will make your job easier. Training will be provided on how to preform job. Excellent communication skills and compassionate patient care approach. Ability to interpret prescriptions and collaborate with healthcare professionals. Prior experience with intake assessments is preferred. Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.

  • Provide individualized compression garment fittings that promote comfort, effectiveness, and compliance.
  • Educate patients so they feel confident using their prescribed products.
  • Encourage and support patients throughout their compression therapy journey.
  • Build lasting relationships with patients, physicians, therapists, and caregivers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation.
  • Work together with fellow team members to create an exceptional patient experience every day.
  • Continue developing knowledge through ongoing education and training.
  • Celebrate every patient's victory, encouraging them throughout their journey toward improved health and independence.
Compensation:
$16-$20/hr, but absolutely negotiable based on education and experience.
