Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work from engineering drawings to lay out the design on the raw material then cut it to size and shape using manually controlled machine tools (such as lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, and jig grinders), power tools (such as die grinders and rotary tools), and hand tools (such as files and honing stones). Will work independently on projects. Assist production by communicating tooling issues Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing results with accuracy and timeliness. May be called upon to assist in other duties as needed to ensure quality level of facility activities. Responsible for all customer specific requirements where applicable, including those referenced in Quality manuals. Any/all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Required Must have High School Diploma or GED Minimum of 2 years Tool Maker/Machinist Experience reading engineering drawings Demonstrated math skills and computer literacy Certification in the metal trades industry. Desired Experience in carbide dies

The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands/arms; lift and/or lower; push and/or pull; and use hands to finger, handle, feel and/or finely manipulate objects. The employee must frequently lift/move and/or push/pull up to 20 lbs. and occasionally lift/move and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Use of vision correction is acceptable, if necessary; however, any vision correction apparatus must meet all safety guidelines for the area of activity. Experience Preferred Certification in the metal trades industry.
