WyoTech is seeking experienced Collision Repair Technicians to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for industry professionals who are passionate about collision repair and ready to invest in the next generation of technicians. No previous teaching experience is required! We'll help you develop your instructional skills. We are looking for professionals who enjoy mentoring others, value safety and craftsmanship, and are committed to helping students succeed in the skilled trades. Duties and Responsibilities Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on shop instruction using approved curriculum and lesson plans Foster a positive learning environment that encourages professionalism, safety, teamwork, and technical excellence Prepare students for successful careers through real-world demonstrations, coaching, and mentorship Maintain accurate grades, attendance, testing, and student documentation using the CANVAS Learning Management System and student information system Promote and enforce WyoTech policies, professionalism standards, EPA requirements, and safe shop practices Maintain classroom equipment, shop tools, and instructional materials to ensure a safe and effective learning environment Participate in instructor meetings, curriculum development, registration, graduation, and professional development activities Advise students regarding attendance, academic progress, professionalism, and career readiness Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and student support departments to promote student success Be available for students before and after class to provide additional instruction and support Maintain confidentiality and ensure all educational activities are conducted ethically and in compliance with institutional standards Perform other related duties as assigned by department leadership Minimum Qualifications Candidates must meet state certification, regulatory agency, and accrediting body requirements, including but not limited to: Minimum of 7 years of collision repair industry experience within the last 10 years, or Minimum of 5 years of experience with an associate degree Ability to satisfy all institutional employment requirements, including employment verification and a comprehensive background investigation Demonstrated knowledge of collision repair procedures, structural repair, refinishing, vehicle safety systems, and industry best practices Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and motivate students Computer proficiency and willingness to utilize learning management systems and instructional technology Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced educational environment Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining professional shop standards ASE, I-CAR, OEM, or other industry certifications are preferred but not required Why WyoTech Make a lasting impact by preparing students for rewarding careers in the skilled trades Work alongside experienced instructors and industry professionals Professional development and continuing education opportunities Team-oriented and collaborative culture Tuition reimbursement Competitive benefits package Paid Time Off and paid holidays 401(k) with company match Medical, dental, and vision insurance Employer-paid life insurance and short-term disability coverage The Laramie community offers the perfect balance of small-town charm and outdoor adventure.
