Evergreen Metropolitan District is seeking a Wastewater Maintenance Technician I, II, or III to join our Wastewater team. We are looking for a motivated individual who enjoys hands-on mechanical work and takes pride in maintaining critical infrastructure that protects public health and the environment. III SUMMARY
Responsible for performing skilled work in the installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of equipment including pumps, mechanical machinery, electro-mechanical equipment, vehicles, tools, and related apparatus. Performs inspections, testing, installation, removal, setup, operation, and maintenance of equipment associated with wastewater treatment plants and collection systems. Operates wastewater treatment facilities as needed.

REQUIRED LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

WORK SCHEDULE
Available for evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergencies. Participate in the on-call rotation. Must live within 45 minutes of Evergreen for On-call response.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequently required to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Regularly required to stand, walk, drive, climb, kneel, and work in confined spaces. Must be able to use sight, hearing, smell, and touch to monitor facility functionality.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regular exposure to extreme weather conditions. Possible exposure to hazardous materials, loud noise, and unsanitary conditions. The work environment may be physically demanding and require strict adherence to safety protocols. Frequent exposure to wet/humid conditions, mechanical equipment, odorous fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards. Occasional exposure to heights, extreme weather, unsanitary conditions, and loud noise. This position works both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and requires working around mechanical equipment, wastewater treatment processes, and confined spaces. Safety is a top priority, and all required training and protective equipment are provided. Placement Statement The District will determine the appropriate classification (Technician I, II, or III) based on the applicant's experience, certifications, demonstrated knowledge, and ability to independently perform the essential functions of the position. Advancement to higher classifications may occur as employees obtain the required certifications, experience, and demonstrate proficiency.
